The Goedgedacht Trust invites you to be part of our "Fill a Jar, Fill a Heart" winter initiative, supported by "Project Warm Jar" – a heartfelt campaign calling on individuals, corporates, and funders to donate non-perishable soup ingredients or contribute monetary donations to help us support vulnerable families during the coldest time of the year.
1. FILL A JAR
Donate a filled jar with dry soup ingredients such as:
• Lentils, soup mix, dried beans
• Rice, pasta
• Stock cubes, herbs, spices
Add a warm note or message of encouragement to make it personal!
2. PROJECT WARM JAR COLLECTION
Organise a drive in your office, school, or community group to collect:
• Empty jars + soup ingredients OR empty jars or soup ingredients
• Pre-filled jars, ready for distribution
Bulk donations of non-perishables for jar-packing
3. MONETARY DONATION
Can’t fill a jar yourself?
Sponsor a “Warm Jar” for R250.
Your donation will help us prepare and deliver nourishing soup jars to families in need.
All collected jars will be distributed on Mandela Day (18 July) to families in rural farming communities who so desperately need your support during the coldest months of the year.
Together, we’ll honour Madiba’s legacy by spreading warmth, nourishment, and hope.
Drop-off locations are available at Goedgedacht and POP centres across the Swartland. To arrange a collection or get your workplace involved, please contact:
