Part of our mission is to challenge our Path Onto Prosperity (POP) Youth Centre Managers to look for better opportunities outside Goedgedacht.
The Centre Manager in Paarl; Shauwn Carolus; took the opportunity to apply for a position to teach English in China.
One of the requirements were that applicants need to have a degree in teaching, but when the head of the company visited him at our Centre, they realised he was doing exactly what they want teachers to do in China, which was making teaching and learning English fun.
One of the things Shauwn mentioned to one of his colleagues was how grateful he is for the opportunity that was given to him to grow in his job. Go Shauwn, we are very proud of you!
