SeViSSA programme

SeViSSA programme

Goedgedacht is a part of ‘The Western Cape Coalition’ with the Women on Farms Project and FASFacts. Together we hosted a youth event last week celebrating the end of a very special programme we have been part of.

The coalition, supported by the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund, Comic Relief and Department for International Development (DFID) embarked on a Sexual Violence in Schools in South Africa (SeViSSA) programme since 2014. The programme was a five-year pilot project aimed at reducing violence against children, particularly girls in schools and empowering women. The programme also aimed to empower young people to have increased control over their lives by staying, and performing better, in school as well as fighting against any form of violence.

It has been an honour for Goedgedacht to be part of this very important work.
